A pressure switch tells the pump when to turn on and off. If the switch, gauge, pressure tank, or wiring has a problem, the pump may short cycle, fail to start, or fail to build pressure.
Pump clicks but does not start
Pump turns on and off repeatedly
Pressure gauge does not move normally
Weak or inconsistent household water pressure
Pressure switch, control box, wiring, and gauge symptoms can all affect pump start and stop behavior.
